Pastor Barry is a licensed and ordained to the Gospel Ministry at Central Baptist Church in Hixson, TN. He graduated from Bryan College with a BA in Religious Education, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity, as well as doctoral seminars at New Orleans Seminary and the University of Tennessee.
He served in churches throughout Tennessee and Mississippi before being called in 1988 as the Preaching Associate for Dr. Ron Phillips at Central Baptist Church in Hixson, TN. He also served on the North American Mission Board of the SBC.

Pastor Barry and his wife Amy have four adult children. 

Ms. Callie began with TLA September 2013 as a young college student within our afterschool program. She has worked in many positions at Trophy Lakes Academy as teaching our young 2's and babies.  She joined our office administration 4 years ago and moved into the Assistant Director position.  Ms Callie has a loving heart for the children and families at Trophy Lakes Academy. 

Megan has been apart of our TLA family since 2017. She started out teaching in many different classroom ages and has taken on the assistant director role in 2024. She has a true love for children. She is excited for this new opportunity to help grow TLA and minister to our children and families.

Tracy has been apart of our TLA family since 2013. She has taught in our classes, been a teachers aide, and is now the administrative assistant since 2018. Her passion for helping others has made her perfect for the role of administrative assistant for our TLA family.

Brittany has been apart of our TLA family since 2013. She has taught the ages of 12 months - 24 months. She loves to watch each individual child grow while learning through sensory play and hands on activities. 

Marisela has been apart of our TLA family since 2014. She loves teaching our twos classes . She is amazing assisting with potty training and preparing each individual child with skills they can use as they transition to the older classes.

Michelle has been apart of our TLA family since 2021. She has been teaching for a total of 13 years, anywhere from the age of infants to Pre-k. She is most passionate to teach three's as she loves to see the growth of their personalities and teach the love of God.

Cristina has been apart of our TLA family since 2009. She has been teaching for over 30 years. She has such a love for children and Jesus Christ. She believes that she has been given the seed to plant Gods wisdom and knowledge into each child she has the privilege of teaching.

Sheila has been apart of our TLA family since 2006. She has been teaching for a total of 28 years. She loves teaching about science and anything related to nature. She loves to be silly with the children and make the classroom environment fun. She moved from Florida in 2006 and God lead her to TLA where she has been ever since.

Jeanette has been apart of our TLA family since 2020. She teaches our Kindergarten class, afterschool school-age and school-age summer program. She has been teaching for a total of 23 years and Kindergarten is the age she is most passionate about.

Robin has been apart of our TLA family since 2013. God has given her the gift of compassion and empathy. She loves to pray with our children, families, and other staff. You will see her leading our weekly chapels with such conviction as her love for God is truly amazing.

Torie has been apart of our TLA family since 2018. She started with us as a parent and then God lead her to join our family as a teachers aide where she helps assist in classrooms with children.

Mackenzie has been apart of our TLA family since 2022. She started with us at 18 and has found her love for helping people and children which has made her a great addition to our family as a teachers aide.

Isabella started with us in 2023 as a high-school student. She loves getting to have fun and play with the children in our afterschool program
